So I did a remix for my Austrian buddies “Die Drescher”. They are a thrash metal band who also add an accordion and vocals in Austrian dialect to their sound. In my remix I took out the tempo and the heavy guitars and went for a rather doom/industrial direction. Still not everyone’s cup of tea but worth checking out if you like it heavy and rough. Download the first single “First Blood” and another track from the upcoming album “Erntezeit” plus my remix of “First Blood” on their website HERE. Then check them out on Facebook and/or listen to all 3 songs on their Soundcloud.
Here’s one that features an acapella I’ve wanted to use for ages, The Killers’ “Somebody Told Me”. The uptempo track “Push It” by UK DJ Hyper has some really close similarities to that Killers tune in places, luckily it’s in the same key too. I decided to produce some additional synth layers for the chorus, I felt the need to break it down and since the chorus is always a great singalong when played live it just made more sense to me to build the song structure like this. Hope you like it although it’s rather unusual to break things down for the chorus like this.
1,5 hours of mashups and remixes I like to play in the clubs all over the world. A good 50% in this mix have been produced by myself, the rest have been produced by the likes of DJs From Mars, Loo & Placido, Roger Stiller, Clockwork, Jewelz & Scott Sparks, Ian Munro, Frank Carmine, Rino Santaniello & Djwlady, DJ Dumpz, Ostblockschlampen, 2SHAE!, Tobi S., Willy William and Alex Morgan.
