Upcoming Wednesday (July 1st) DJ Schmolli will spin at the VOLT festival in Sopron, Hungary. VOLT is a 4-day festival with 15 stages and over 200 international acts performing. Headliners this year include Marilyn Manson, Limp Bizkit & Franz Ferdinand. I am spinning on the T-Mobile Café & VOLT Rádió stage with PartyBen & DJ Pozsi starting at midnight.
A sad, very sad day today, the king of pop Michael Jackson passed away at the age of 50. He probably has been my biggest influence of pop music during the 80′s, at a time when I grew up listening to his fantastic records and became a fan. Heather Vescent first had the idea to perform my MJ mashup “Hollaback Thriller Girl” live with her dancers for Halloween-Bootie 2006. The performance has been a huge success and they kept repeating the performance on the following Halloween Bootie parties, they even added a few more other tunes to their sets and created a website called “Zombies without borders”.
