So DJ D.I.D. from belgian Cocktail Deluxe radio asked me to do a long mix for the show… and I said yes
It’s my first long mix ever and it starts with electro/big beat stuff which goes right into some pop to be followed by some alternative songs. Of course there’s a lot of Schmolli tunes in it as well as some of my favourite tracks by other artists. You can download the mix HERE. The mix is 60 minutes long and features 20 tracks. Here’s the tracklist:
01. Johann Sebastian Bach – Musette In D-Minor (Intro)
02. DJ Schmolli vs. Beats International – Dub Be Good To Me (Smokin’ Big Beat Remix)
03. David Essex – Rock On (DJ Schmolli’s Step Up Remix)
04. Beatsteaks – Cut Off The Top (Timo Maas Dirty Rocker Remix)
05. Aggro1 – The Doors vs. The Crystal Method
06. DJ Moule – Rock Your Poison (Prodigy vs. Queen ft. Jimmy Page & Tom Morello)
07. DJ Schmolli – 1 Sharp Look (Dizzee Rascal vs. Amerie vs. Oasis vs. Nelly Furtado)
08. ElectroSound – Crazy Kelly (Gnarls Barkley vs. Kelly Osbourne)
09. DJ Schmolli – Famous Black Hole (Bros vs. Muse)
10. Rihanna – Umbrella (Divide & Kreate Remix)
11. DJ Schmolli – Lick It Wild Thing (Kiss vs. Tone Loc vs. 20 Fingers)
12. Voicedude – Dead Or Aguilera (Christina Aguilera vs. Dead Or Alive)
13. DJ Schmolli – Temperature Calling Another Day (Falco vs. Sean Paul vs. Madonna)
14. DJ Schmolli – Upgrade The Casbah (The Clash vs. Beyonce vs. Nelly Furtado vs. Ofra Haza)
15. ToTom – Idlewild Jesus (Outkast vs. Beatles vs. Depeche Mode)
16. DJ Schmolli – Blocalicious (Bloc Party vs. Fergie)
17. DJ Schmolli – Mission Flex (The Sounds vs. Artful Dodger)
18. DJ Schmolli – Sultans Of Titties (The Trucks vs. Dire Straits)
19. Lady Sovereign – Pretty Vacant
20. Sex Pistols – Pretty Vacant

Well, this is my fifth time that one of my mashups got into the Anti-Hit List. This is a column in the Toronto Star newspaper which is also available online. The list is not as bad as you might think, in fact there are cool new artists, underground music, cover versions and obviously also mashups in this top 10, simply music far away from the usual charts. The track “Don’t Cha Take a Robot Around South of Heaven” made it up to number 4 which is the best position I’ve ever had! Read the article HERE
